Hey {{first_name}}

I need to tell you something that's going to piss you off.

The reason your TikToks aren't going viral has nothing to do with:

  • The algorithm hating you

  • Not having enough followers

  • Bad timing

  • Shadow banning

It's because you're making content for yourself instead of for TikTok.

The 3-Second Rule That Changes Everything

TikTok makes a decision about your video in 3 seconds.

Not 5. Not 10. Three.

Here's what happens:

  • Second 0-1: TikTok analyzes your first frame

  • Second 1-2: Measures initial watch behavior

  • Second 2-3: Decides if you get 1,000 or 1,000,000 views

Most people waste these 3 seconds with:

  • "Hey guys!"

  • Adjusting their camera

  • Explaining what they're about to show

  • Text that takes too long to read

You're dead before you even started.

The "Pattern Interrupt" That Forces Views

Your first 3 seconds needs what I call a "WTF Moment."

Something that makes the brain go "wait, what?"

Here are some high-performing WTF openers:

The Contradiction: "I made $5,000 by being terrible at this"

The Incomplete Loop: Start mid-action "...and that's when I realized I got scammed"

The Visual Mismatch: Show one thing, say another (holding a banana while talking about making money)

The Uncomfortable Truth: "Your mom was right about you"

The Pattern Break: Film yourself upside down, backwards, or in a weird location

This causes the brain to stop becasue it’s DIFFERENT than everything else it’s seeinng.

Attention is only created through contrast.

Some of the best hooks make no sense. And that's the point

The "Comment Trap" That Explodes Engagement

TikTok weighs comments more than likes. Way more.

One comment = 10 likes in the algorithm.

So I intentionally trigger comments with these tactics:

The Obvious Mistake: Spell something wrong on purpose. Say 2+2=5. Call a dog a cat.

The Missing Piece: "The three ways to..." only show two

The Controversial Take: "Starbucks coffee is trash and here's why"

The Impossible Claim: "I haven't slept in 72 hours"

The Direct Challenge: "Bet you can't watch this without blinking"

Make people angry, call you out, literally anything to get a comment.

Becasue good or bad, you’ll get boosted.

The "Stealth Repost" Strategy

Here's something wild:

TikTok doesn't remember your videos after 72 hours.

I post the SAME video 3 times:

  • Day 1: Original post

  • Day 4: Delete and repost with different hashtags

  • Day 8: Delete and repost at different time

Same exact video. Three chances to go viral.

I’ve seen people repost old videos that got 100s of views and, without changing a SECOND, that same video generated millions of views.

The video didn't change. The timing did.

Try to repost videos 2-3 times if they aren’t getting traction

The Sounds That Guarantee Views

Using trending audio wrong = death.

Using it right = instant boost.

Rules:

  1. Never use audio trending for more than 48 hours (oversaturated)

  2. Find sounds with 10K-50K uses (sweet spot)

  3. Mute trending audio and use your own voice over it (hack)

But here's the real secret:

Use NO sound on text-heavy videos.

Silent videos get 2.3x more watch time because people read slower than they think.

The Dark Truth About The Algorithm

TikTok doesn't want you to succeed.

They want you addicted to TRYING to succeed.

So they give you just enough wins to keep posting.

The solution?

Post so much that "just enough" becomes "more than enough."

I'm talking 3-5 videos per day minimum.

Not because they'll all hit.

Because one will, and it'll carry the rest.

My ratio:

  • 10 videos = 1 mini viral (10K+ views)

  • 50 videos = 1 solid viral (100K+ views)

  • 100 videos = 1 mega viral (1M+ views)

It's a numbers game disguised as a creativity game.

Put up more shots, you’ll get more points.

See you on the next one

~ Jordan.
